The day started with the wonderful breakfast in the respective hotel for both the Indonesian and Singaporean TFI scholars. After the breakfast, all the scholars are to be gather in the conference room of Niagara hotel for their first programme briefing and planning to better understand Lake Toba.
In the afternoon, the scholars started their first pilot data collection at the first location, Ajibata ferry port. They also mingle around with the friendly villages who run the tourist stores around the port.
Scholars then proceed to the second point, RajaTiga for more data collection.
The local was very excited to communicate with the scholars as they exchange cultures. The day ended early as the scholars are told to have more rest to be prepare for the adventure at Samosir Island the next day. Do check out our next post to read up our experience at Samosir Island.
